Steven J. Allsop II's Obituary
Steven John Allsop II, age 26, died unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 1, 2013 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Steve was born February 27, 1987 to Steven J. and Jaculine R. (Frederick) Allsop in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Steven was a graduate of Reeths-Puffer High School (class of 2005). He studied welding technology at Muskegon Community College, and was employed as a driver for ABF Freight. A true family man, Steven’s love for his parents, siblings, and children continually inspires those around him to cherish each other. Steven was an admired provider for friends and family. Known for his outspoken personality and sense of humor, Allsop was beloved by many. Those who know him were blessed with fierce loyalty and reliability. He was a man of lifelong friendships. Several from Steven’s childhood remained close into his adult life, and considered him extended family. Steven is survived by his wife, Shawna (Hilton); 2 children, Haylie and Blaine; his father, Steven J. Allsop; his sister, Erin (David) Greene, and their daughter Hannah; grandparents, Rose Frederick and Peggy Brunais; in-laws, Gary Hilton and Sandy Hilton. Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Jaculine “Jackie” Allsop on December 28, 2012. The Funeral Service for Steven will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 11, at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, (231) 798-1100, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak officiating. Burial will take place at Twin Lake Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening.
