Mr. Steven L. Beckem Sr's Obituary
Mr. Steven L. Beckem Sr's sunrise was on November 17, 1967 to Anderson and Edith (Hillard) Beckem in Muskegon. His sunset was Saturday, May 5, 2018. Steve was a chemical operator and wire cutter at Beckhart Wiring. He served his country while in the United States Navy. Steve enjoyed going dirt biking, fishing and was an animal lover. On June 27, 2009 he married the former Lisa Gauthier and she survives him along with his children, Steffani Beckem (Charles Labiche), Steven Beckem Jr (Erra Anderson), Aundra Beckem Jr, Emily Beckem, Trinity Beckem and Serenity Beckem; step-daughters, Desiraye Gauthier and Dominique Gauthier; eight grandchildren; father, Anderson; siblings, Aundra Beckem Sr, Sharon Brown, and Bridgette Scott; mother and father-in-law, Marsha and John Ake; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; special cousin, Issac “Ike” Hillard; and special friends, Ronald Kennebrew, Johnny Mack Harper, and Eric “Chief” Cowell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 11 at 11AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 10 from 4-8PM. Memorial contributions to the family to help with expenses would be appreciated.
