Steve hung out with Curt Vangelder a lot and I did as well, but less than Steve.
I remember after playing some ball, it was always Steve who spoke up first asking
Curt if we could swim in his dad's pool! My fondest memory, among many, was when
we played against another pony league team whose pitcher went on to pitch in the majors. Steve broke up his perfect game by getting on first base as the shortstop
couldn't quite handle his ground ball!! God Bless his family.
So sorry to hear of this. Steve and I were college roommates at Western. We had many great times together but as so often happens with the passage of time, career, family, etc. we lost contact.
I will never forget the good times we shared.

Sad to hear... We were not always close but I will forever carry fond memories.
Steve and I went to high school together. A jovial guy, to say the least! I remember a great smile and full hearted laugh.
