Steven J. Crawford's Obituary
Steven “Steve” James Crawford, age 64, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021, Fruitport, MI. He was born on August 6, 1957, in Arlington Heights, IL, to Stewart and Elaine (Gall) Crawford. Steven graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in Illinois, and then went on to study at The University of Illinois. In 1998 Steve moved to West Michigan, where he owned and operated his business, Crawford Sales. Steve greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors, either fishing, golfing, or hunting at the Willowfield Farms Club in Fruitport. Steve also enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, as well as the Cubs and the Blackhawks. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Megan (Miles) Kellenberger; two grandchildren: Everett and Paisley Kellenberger; brother, Scott Crawford; four nieces and nephews: James, Kristin, Brian, and Lindsay; as well as many friends, including Doug and Anne Bethel and Denny and Carmel Eitniear. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Randy Crawford. A funeral service for Steve will be taking place at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444), with a time of visitation taking place one hour prior. The family requests that all in attendance please wear a face mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19. A graveside service will be taking place at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo, WI, at 11:00 on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve’s memory can be made out to The Muskegon Rescue Mission (https://muskegonmission.org/#).
