Steven Andrew Hunter's Obituary
Steven Andrew Hunter, age 58, passed away on October 22, 2025. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 9, 1967, to James and Shirley (Hinton) Hunter Sr. After high school, he attended college and went on to work at GR Spring & Stamping for about 25 years before working at Autokiniton as a Quality Manager.
In August 2009, Steve married the love of his life, Dawn Hunter, and together they shared 16 years, creating many memories. Steve loved to cook and entertain; he was known to be a mixologist among his friends and family. He was charismatic and had a great sense of humor, always making people laugh. He was a devoted Detroit Lions fan and loved watching them play, cheering them on. Steve also enjoyed vacationing and wine tasting with his wife, family and friends. Above all, he cherished his family and his beloved dogs, Isabella and Harper.
He will be remembered by his wife, Dawn; 7 children, Stephanie ( Calvin) Camp, Taylor (Jared) Heikkila, Courtney (Josh Kersting) Hunter, Derek (Samantha) Serritos, Brett Serritos, Chase Serritos and Mason Smith; 7 grandchildren, Blake, Kiya, Lydia, Hunter, Fischer, Harvey and Charlotte; 3 brothers, Jimmy (Deni) Hunter, Greg (Wanda) Hunter, and Jeff (Amy) Hunter; sister, Mary (Tony) Olson; mother-in-law, Barb Marr; father-in-law, Tom Marr; brother-in-law, Keith (Dawn) Marr; many nieces and nephews; and many close and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Jericho Road Church, 930 Creston Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
