Steven J. "Steve" Szczesny's Obituary
Mr. Steven J. “Steve” Szczesny, 56, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Lexington, S.C. Steve was born April 2, 1958 in Muskegon to Jerome and Betty (Smith) Szczesny; he was a graduate of St. Michael’s School, Muskegon Catholic Central High School, and Northern Michigan University. Steve specialized in accounting and information technologies. His SURVIVORS include his children: Dan, Lynn and Sam Szczesny all of Hudsonville; mother, Betty Szczesny of Muskegon; brothers: Dave, Mike and Joe (Kim) Szczesny; former wife, Kathy Szczesny; nieces and nephews Jesse, Sylvia, Patricia, Alyssa, Jake, Shawn, Tylor, Haley, Sydney and Paige; great nieces and nephew Gabby, Payden and Paul; and close friends, Ed and Brenda Strube from Lexington, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome. Steve had a gift for making people laugh and feel loved, and was often the life of the party. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his family, friends, and golden retrievers. He will be greatly missed. A FUNERAL MASS will be held for Steve 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (Sixth St. and Dale Ave.) with Rev. Fr. Philip Salmonowicz as Celebrant, and interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, January 2, 2015, at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, 6291 S.
