Steven E. Reames' Obituary
**************The celebration of life service and visitation for Steven has been rescheduled. Steven Edward Reames, age 68, passed away Wednesday evening, December 29, 2021. He was born November 3, 1953 in Muskegon to Duane and MaryAnn (Suchecki) Reames. Steve worked as a tool and die maker for many years prior to his retirement in 2015. On June 21, 1997, he married the former Cheryl R. Young in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2018. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles Aerie #3666, loved to bowl, hunt, and golf, and was a huge U of M, Tigers, and Lions fan. He also loved spending time at his property up north. Steve is survived by 3 daughters: Rachel Huston, Kim (Kevin) Burke, and Tracy (Corey) Dorton; stepson, Rick (Kate) Egeler; 8 grandchildren: Jacob, Zach, Cody, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Emily, Kaden, and Gunner; sister, Cindy (Ron) Pieczynski; 2 brothers: Gary (Maureen) Reames and Greg (Teresa) Reames; 2 sisters-in-law: Cindy Reames and Doris (Mike) Dowdy; 3 brothers-in-law: Jeff Young, Gary (Liz) Young, and Ed Young; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Mike Workman; a host of close friends; and the mother of his daughters, Cherri Wright. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Jim and Bobby Reames. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 PM Friday, March 25, 2022 and one hour prior to the service .
