Steven Zydek's Obituary
Mr. Steven Zydek, age 94, passed away early Saturday, June 25, 2011. He was born on March 17, 1917 to Charles and Mary (Czeiwiec) Zydek in Chicago, IL. Mr. Zydek worked for Norge Appliances for 20 years as a welder and then worked for another 20 years at Muskegon Public Schools in maintenance. On June 5, 1948 he married Florence Beckwith and she preceded him in death on June 6, 2010. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Jo-Ann and her husband Everett Hall. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Steven (Judy) Zydek of Hudsonville, Jackie (Roger) Powers of Kissimmee, FL, Lorraine (Craig) Zimmer of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Zydek was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Joseph, Walter, Julius, John and Bruno Zydek and a sister, Agnes Dublanski. A PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held. Burial will take place in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
