Mrs. Sue Ann Scott's Obituary
Mrs. Sue Scott, age 82, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family March 16, 2012. She was born in Muskegon on September 2, 1929 to Harry and Helen (Marshall) Pennington Sr. On October 7, 1950 she married Herman Scott and they enjoyed 44 years together. Sue and Herman owned and operated Dalton Grocery for 42 years. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. She was a deaconess and active in many church circles over the years. Sue volunteered at Hackley Hospital and at Seminole Shores. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family. They were the joy in her life. Sue is survived by her sons, David Scott (Wendy), Mark (Sandy) Scott, Craig (Carrie) Scott; daughter-in-law, Mary Bogen; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman; son, Brian Scott; great-grandson, Jordan. A time of visitation with the family will be 12 PM with a memorial service at 1 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 1070 South Quarterline Rd., Muskegon, MI, with Rev. Dennis Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church.
