Sulema "Sue" Sahagun's Obituary
Mrs. Sulema “Sue” Sahagun, age 79, passed away Monday morning, August 10, 2015. She was born January 1, 1936 in San Antonio, TX to Francisco and Luisa (Rodriguez) Santos. Sue had worked for G.E. and Fleet Engineers and was a member of Evanston Ave. Baptist Church. On January 10, 1959 she married Manuel Sahagun in Muskegon at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She loved to watch the Detroit Tigers. She was their biggest fan. She was also a big wrestling fan of the W.W.E., Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, enjoyed cooking, and flowers from her garden. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Sue will be dearly missed. SURVIVORS include her husband Manuel; 4 children: Ruth Huston, Miguel Sahagun, Manuel (Jamie) Sahagun, Jr., Maria (Kirt) Deephouse all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren: Shannon (Paul) Pego, Shane (Keli) Huston, Shawna (William) Watson, Angela (Luke) Pouch, Melissa (Brandon) Bisson, Michael (Jessica) Sahagun, Dana and Makenzi Sahagun, Alexis Deephouse; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Rudy (Shirley) Santos, Alfred Santos, Will (Jan) Santos, Manuel Suarez; 3 sisters: Petra (Greg) Hernandez, Lupe Loera, Isabella Santos; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 3 brothers, Bernard, Raymond, and Frank Santos. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Evanston Ave. Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Sharpe officiating. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to the American Cancer Society or Evanston Ave. Baptist Church will be appreciated.
