I will always be thankful for the several occasions that Mrs. Clink touched my life. She and her daughter inspired and encouraged me to strive for excellence at Mona Shores High School in the 1970's. That academic push made possible my entire career and professional life. More recently, Mrs. Clink provided mature mothering and sympathetic support in the absence of my late mother. It was a great honor to have Mrs. Clink and her family touch my life. I know that they miss her dearly.

I remember one spring day Mrs Clink was attending a Sunday brunch at the country club and had accidentally locked her keys in her car so I offered to drive her home to retrieve another set. It was somewhat amusing because she could not get into her home. She called Mr Puttof a friend and neighbor to let her in. In that short time waiting we had the most wonderful conversation about Muskegon history and family. I will always remember that day. I left and thought what a classic wonderful warm lady!

Our dear friend, Susan, was such a beautiful lady and will be missed by us and this Community. Yes, Susan was a stickler for use of the English language, but also a stickler for manners. One of my first encounters with Susan was lunch with several friends at the Country Club. When the wait staff began to clear the plates before everyone was finished eating, it was a "little aside" to the gal to explain how rude is was to clear away plates until all were done eating. Yes she was a "grand dame". Will miss her but have many fond memories.......love to all, Pat and Julie Donahue
