Susan Kay Darcy's Obituary
Susan Kay Darcy, age 56, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was born October 13, 1966 in Zeeland, MI to Claude and Marcia (Smedley) Hollinshead. On May 16, 1987, she married the love of her life, Terry L. Darcy in Conklin, MI. Sue worked as a lunch lady for Ravenna Public Schools for 22 years prior to her medical retirement in February of 2022. She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities, loved to laugh, and was a lot of fun to be with. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by many. Sue is survived by her husband, Terry; two children: Alycia Darcy of Grand Rapids and Brandon Darcy of Maryland; sisters: Terie (Donnie) Monroe of Fruitport and Lynn (Mike) Boggs-Murphy of Coopersville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Jeanie Kamphorst. A CELEBRATION of Sue’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, 2023 at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451 (231) 853-6511.
