Susan N. "Susie" Miszewski's Obituary
Susan N. “Susie” Miszewski, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 18, 2022 at home. She was born on October 21, 1951 to John and Elsie Scott in Muskegon, MI and has remained a resident all her life. She was a graduate of Reeths-Puffer high school class of 1970. Upon her high school graduation, Susie enrolled into college where she took criminal justice classes. She had quite an interest in the criminal justice system and anything pertaining to the law. She was a dedicated employee of almost 30 years at JCPenney, where she worked as security in loss prevention. She loved her job and those that she worked with and took pride in protecting others and maintaining a crime free environment. On October 26, 1993, she married the love of her life, Randy Miszewski in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 28 years of marriage full of love and laughter. Susie had a love for many things, playing keno, going for daily walks with Pepper and making sure Randy did not get away with much. She was known for having a gift when it came to rescuing dogs. She had a tendency for giving the most timid pup a home and showing them unconditional love. Susie also enjoyed being outdoors fishing holding a tune while she did karaoke! Her vivacious and tender-loving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Miszewski; 4 children; numerous grandchildren; 2 brothers, John (Pamela) Scott and Curt (Mary) Scott; and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. In honoring Susie’s wishes, a Celebration of her Life will be held this summer at Ford Lake. Memorial Contributions in Susie’s honor can be made to the Muskegon Humane Society & Animal Rescue. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
