Susan Kaye Stead, age 69, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her home in Montague. She was born November 25, 1952 in Shelby, MI to James and Ida Mae (Stokes) Stead. Survivors include her brother, Phil (Kathi) Stead; her brother-in-law, Bill Burkett; nieces, Amy (Matt) Johnson, Lori Gosselin, Kara (Cody) VanDyke; and nephews Mike (Kate) Galarneau and Lenny Stead; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Burkett, brother Leonard Stead and her beloved Sara Lee. In keeping with Susan’s wishes, there will be no public services.
