Mrs. Susan Lee Zuidema's Obituary
Mrs. Susan Zuidema, age 69, passed away Friday morning, May 20, 2016. She was born June 6, 1946 in Muskegon to Byron and Betty J. (Seifert) Wallace. On May 20, 1967, she married Robert Charles Zuidema and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2016. Susan was a homemaker and also was employed as a motor delivery person for The Muskegon Chronicle for more than 10 years prior to her retirement in 1998. Susan enjoyed crocheting, gardening and yardwork. She also enjoyed Bingo, arts and crafts, traveling, and being on the go. She will be deeply missed by her family and is survived by her children, Michelle (John) Kamhout, Robert Charles Zuidema Jr., Sue (Tim) Keith, Susan Zuidema, and Malinda Zuidema; grandchildren, Amber, Steve, Heather (Cody), Melissa, Jordan and Elizabeth; great- grandchildren, Aydin, Kristina, and Jaxen; brothers, Buster (Shirley) Wallace, Ark (Joy) Wallace, Steven “Stevie” (Richelle) Wallace, David (Michelle) Wallace, and Terry Wallace; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert, Susan was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robbie. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 with Dr. Zawdie Abiade officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM). Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
