Susie (Valuck) Clarke's Obituary
Mrs. Susie (Valuck) Clarke, age 84, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born January 2, 1923 in Muskegon Heights to Martin and Susan (Melicharek) Valuck and lived in the area her entire life. On May 10, 1941, she married Howard F. Clarke in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 18, 1995. Susie was a member of First Christian Church. SURVIVORS include 8 children, Howark Lee Clarke, Tommie O. Clarke, Danny (Melody) Clarke, Sherry (David) Japenga, Sheila (Morry) Edson, Donovan (Deborah) Clarke, Cindy McCauley, Michael (Lori) Clarke; 2 generations of grandchildren; 2 sisters, Tina Snyder and Pauline (Ken) Wolfe. Along with her husband, Howard, she was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sandra, 1 daughter-in-law, Marilyn, 1 grandson, Howard Clarke and 1 granddaughter, Sherri Sue Japenga. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with the Rev. Robert Opperman officiating. VISITATION with Susie’s family will be 6-8 PM this evening. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the American Cancery Society.
