Susie Amelia Booker's Obituary
Mrs. Susie Amelia Booker, age 95, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 following a long illness. Susie was born May 4, 1919 in Detroit to Edmond and Blanche (Strowbridge) Tyler. She married Henry L. Booker and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1990. Susie was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and four children. Susie was a member of Black Creek Community Church and also taught for Child Evangelism Fellowship for many years. She is survived by her children, Joseph Henry Booker of Naples, FL, Sherry Ann (Tom) Skridulis of Scottville, Edmon W. (Sue) Booker of Muskegon, and Paul L. Booker of Grosse Pt. Farms, MI; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Betty DeForest of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Henry, and her parents; Susie was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Culligan. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. David Schaefer officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (1-2 PM) INTERMENT will be in Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Child Evangelism Fellowship of Muskegon County.
