Suzanne Alice Bell's Obituary
Suzanne Alice Bell, age 86, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 2, 1939 to Esther and Wilmont Bell. Suzanne was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School. She worked 25 years as a purchasing clerk for Muskegon County and retired in 2002.
Suzanne was a devoted mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, mother‑in‑law, and friend. Her life was guided by her deep faith and love for the Lord. For many years, she joyfully sang with the Sacred Heart Choir, sharing her voice in praise and worship. She also cherished her time with her book club, where she found fellowship and lasting friendships.
Family was her greatest joy. She was the proudest supporter of her grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments with endless pride and love. She also adored her great‑grandchildren, with that same love. She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Suzanne is survived by her children; Robert Hegbloom, Mary (James) Gillings, Nancy (Paul) St. Amour; grandchildren Jessica (Aaron Duplissis) Gillings, Amy (Sam) Curran, Riley (Emma Taylor) St. Amour, Ryan Gillings, Carson St. Amour; great‑grandchildren Leonardo and Ella Sue Duplissis; and dear friend Cindy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters-in-law; James and Mary Lou Bell and David and Jacqueline Bell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, December 22, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 239 W Clay Ave., Muskegon, MI, 49440 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
