Suzanne Mary Creed's Obituary
Mrs. Suzanne Mary Creed, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 26, 1949 to Ellsworth and Charlotte (Stuyvenberg) Engle. On August 20, 1976, Sue married John D. Creed Jr. and they shared 38 years of marriage prior to him passing in 2014. Sue was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering at Relay for Life and Beechnau Elementary School. Sue worked in the bakery at Meijer for 19 years prior to retiring in 2006 to watch her grandchildren, an opportunity she truly cherished. She enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found feeding the birds, six deer, or “Sally J”, the turkey that would often visit her backyard. Sue enjoyed gardening, quilting, watching her granddaughter play soccer, watching her grandson bowl, and was a Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. Most importantly, she loved being a mom and supporting her children and grandchildren any way she could. Suzanne is survived by her sons, Henri Creed and Randy (Leesa) Creed; two grandchildren, River and Emerson Creed; two brothers, Dick and Jim Engle; sister, Kathy (Denny Claycomb) Engle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, John, Sue was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen Engle; brother, Jerry Engle; and three sisters-in-law, Mary, Kathy, and Mary Engle. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2022 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church (12236 Heights Ravenna Rd., Ravenna, MI 49451) with Fr. Andrew Ayers presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, July 21, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
