Suzanne M. "Sue" Musk's Obituary
Suzanne Marie “Sue” Musk, age 74, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born June 17, 1950, in Charlevoix, MI, to James and Betty (Murphy) Hurlbert. Sue was a proud graduate of Oakridge High School. On July 1, 1972, she married Nick L. Musk in Muskegon, and together they shared 53 wonderful years. Her deep love for children led her to dedicate over forty years to working in childcare. A passionate Detroit Tigers fan, Sue also enjoyed watching NASCAR and had a special fondness for animals. She was a devoted member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where she actively participated in the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered in the food pantry. SURVIVORS include her husband, Nick; son, Kevin Musk and daughter, Lisa (Rodney Carson) Musk, both of Muskegon; two grandchildren: Tyler and Darrin Musk; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Patsy Hurlbert and Sharon Veen; special niece, Renee Hurlbert; and nephews: Troy Hurlbert and Tim Langlois; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers: James, Ron, and Jerry Hurlbert. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2025, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442. She will be laid to rest in Egelston Twp. Cemetery.
