Suzanne E. Weiss, age 76, of Grand Haven, MI formerly of New York City passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born in Detroit to Philip and Elinore (Dwyer) Weiss. Suzanne attended Newton Col Read Obituary
Suzanne and I began our friendship as freshmen at Newton College and shared many laughs and happy memories over the years. I followed her to NYC some six years after she embarked on her career there, at which time she met my husband. He and I always enjoyed her sharp mind, wit, love of NYC and joie de vivre. We mourn her loss and send deep condolences to Cynthia and her sons, about whom Suzanne often spoke.

I met Suzanne, or Sue as we called her way back at Newton College in 1959. She was in our dorm for four years and we had lots of fun over those years. We kept up for many years with cards and notes, and managed to connect a few times when I went through NYC. she always came to our reunions until the last few, and I missed seeing her, as she always had a smile and shared a laugh. I know she also treasured all of us who “ran around” together!. She left her footprint on this earth.

Dear Cyndi, Greg, and Chris,
I was saddened to read of Suzanne's passing....seems like she was part of an era for many of us. And certainly, she was a grande dame of the North Shore when she was visiting! I always enjoyed her tremendous sense of humor, her laugh, her wit and her friendliness to all. And I know how much she loved you all--her 'boys', especially, seemed always to be the light of her life. You have my sincere sympathy and many thoughts in the days ahead as you lay her gently to rest.

I worked with Suzanne at Reader’s Digest General Books for 12 years. I remember her fondly for her snappy dressing, her love of Ferragamo shoes, her giving up alcohol for Lent – – except on Sundays, of course! She loved her family and their tradition of giving gag gifts at Christmas. I remember the year the gifts were Chia plants. Suzanne had us all in stitches telling us about that Christmas. Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers for her family.
I'm so sorry for your loss Cyndi ! I'll truly miss Suzanne ! She was a delight to be around I love chatting with her and hanging out with her her beautiful smile and she was so funny and witty Heaven truly has a special lady up there ! My thoughts and prayers are with you all !! God bless ! ❤️❤️❤️
