Tamela Jean "Tammy" Cunningham's Obituary
Tamela Jean “Tammy” Cunningham, age 59, passed away peacefully at The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Residence on June 23, 2024, with her husband, Gregory, holding her hand and letting the Lord take her hand from there. She was born June 3, 1965, to John and Rhoda (Dobben) Watts, in Bowdle, SD. She attended Muskegon High School, where she was a proud member of the marching band and graduated in 1983. While attending the wedding of her brother, Marty, in Paragould, AR, she met the love of her life, Gregory W. Cunningham, and on November 29, 1986, they were married.
Tammy and Gregory started Plaza Answering Service together, a venture they shared together for 14 years. She also spent time as a medical transcriptionist for Arkansas Methodist Hospital for many years. She was a born again Christian and attended Oak Crest Church of God in Muskegon, MI before relocating to Paragould, AR.
Tammy will be deeply missed by her husband, Gregory; children, Charles Goodwin, Kennith Goodwin and Jeffery Goodwin; mother, Rhoda Watts; brothers, Marty (Dana) Watts and Anthony (Sherry) Watts; nieces and nephews, Derek, Stephanie, Paige, Molly, Blake, Dawn, Christy, Jason, Brian, Emily and Steven; along with several great nieces and nephews, cousins and so many great friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John Watts.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 27, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444). VISITATION with the family will take place 1 hour prior to the service (10-11AM). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Residence.
