Tammy E. Palmer's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Tammy “Bam Bam” Edna (Lang) Palmer, age 62, announces that she passed away on July 14, 2026, after facing a series of chronic health issues. Tammy was born on March 8, 1964, in Muskegon, MI, to Philo and Josie (Chingman) Lang, and she attended Oakridge Schools. After high school she briefly relocated to Florida before returning home to Michigan to spend the rest of her life surrounded by family.
In her earlier years, Tammy worked locally at Papa Bear’s Restaurant and Sorrento’s Restaurant. She later dedicated several years of service to KL Industries and went on to work as a skilled core maker for Mumby's. Tammy had a deep appreciation for the world around her and saw the best in everyone. She loved nature and found peace spending time in her garden. She was also a talented crafter who loved creating beautiful diamond art pieces.
Tammy will be lovingly remembered by her beloved Joe Palmer; two sons: Gilbert Eric Botello and Jesse Joseph Rollins; grandchildren: Drake, Ashton, and Cassina Potter, Emma Rollins, and Sofia Botello Hillsburg; great-granddaughter, Josie Potter; two sisters: Christine (Russ) Marsh and Carrie (Joe) Locke; sister in-law, Pam Lang; brother in-law, James Moulder; and many stepsiblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josie and Philo Lang; daughter, Josie Botello; two sisters, Sandra “Kay” Moulder and Virginia (Dean) Smith; brother, Andrew Lang; niece, Dawn Summers; and all of her half siblings.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Tammy at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
