Ted Wayne Losee's Obituary
Ted Wayne Losee, age 82, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born on September 9, 1939, to Erwin and Thelma (Norbury) Losee in Muskegon. On October 10, 1958, he married the love of his life, the former Marilyn Scholten, and they spent 63 loving years together. Ted was the owner and operator of Strong Industrial Supply in Muskegon and worked hard to grow the business until his retirement in 1999. He was a former member of the local area toastmasters. He loved boating, tending to his yard and caring for his home. One of his greatest passions was riding horses, which led Ted to embark on numerous rides out of Wickenburg, Arizona across the High Sonoran Desert into the Bradshaw Mountains with the Desert Cabelleros riding group. Throughout his life, the one thing that Ted was proud to say was “I did it my way.” Ted is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Losee; children, Kimberly (Thomas) Kitchen, Todd (Diane) Losee; grandchildren, Thomas (Mary) Kitchen II, Kristina Kitchen (Connor Kurant), Kevin “K.J.” Losee, Shannon Losee; great grandkids, Kinley Kitchen, Hadlee Kitchen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Faith Marie Losee. Per Ted’s requests cremation has taken place and no services will take place at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s name can be made out to the Faith Marie Losee Fund through the Grand Haven Community Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
