Rev Tedd Bryson, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2012. He is survived by his loving partner and wife of 60 years, Ruth Bryson, and their children; Susan Thomas (Charles), Jill Johnson (Daniel) and Thoma Read Obituary
So many memories of working with Tedd in YFC in the rallies, clubs and summer camps.He always enjoyed my piano playing and sense of humor and we enjoyed working together for the Lord.
Prayers for comfort to Ruth and family. I remember baby sitting for them one summer when you and Tedd were at Winona Lake.
What an example of a life well lived for the Lord and your support.

I am so sorry for the loss you are experiencing in the death of your dear Tedd. He was a good man...humble, faithful, tender-hearted and kind. I remember my teen years when he was the GR director for YFC. I had a huge crush on him, as you and he know. I loved that he teased me about it never ending...Ha. The service today was precious with your grandchildren honoring him with their words, songs and love. Ron and I were blessed for many years with your friendship, encouragement and example in ministry. Now he and Ron get to rejoice with their Savior, as we wait until it is our time. May you and your family be 'over blessed' with times of sharing his life and legacy, even through tears, as you revel in the Lord's goodness.

What a great man of God he was...I used to go to youth for Christ down town and hear him speak...then my parents took me to maranatha to the week end night hymn sings and heard him there...so many good memories..the world needs workers for the Lord like him....prayers to the family...don plugge
What a wonderful man and true faithful servant of the Lord! Our lives passed over the last 50 years for seemingly short periods of time through YFC, Maranatha, Sailing from the Small Boat Basin, various churches and mutual friends. We're so grateful to God for allowing us these times together and your treasured friendship. We so admire the two of you in your faithful walk with our Lord and love of His Word. Thank-you for being such an inspiration and encouragement.

Dear Tedd,
Having been away from Muskegon for many years, I was so looking forward to my visit with you and Ruth in just a few days. Thanksgiving seemed the perfect time to share anew my appreciation for what you both have done and been in my life, starting with my pre-college days at Maranatha. While sad to have missed that personal time with you, I am thankful we were able to reconnect in recent months, and especially for the wonderful conversation we shared just last Friday. Tedd, even in most difficult times, your customary calm and peace inspired and comforted me. You truly enjoyed - and shared - Christ’s gift of peace that passeth all understanding.
As we here enter the Christmas season, celebrating Christ’s coming to us in person… and as I consider your lifelong enthusiasm for sharing with all who had ears to hear the Good News of His life, death, and eventual return… should I be surprised that you, in eager anticipation, have run on ahead a little to joyfully greet our Lord and Savior?
I look forward to the day we join you in His loving presence.

To all the Bryson family,both Winnie and myself wish to extend our feeling of deep loss to one we were so privileged to have known over many years as friend,leader,and amazing servant of the one we also serve,(our Great Physician),and Lord.
Having served as such a lesser physician there in Muskegon Mi.,I find it very difficult to even try to understand why Tedd was "smitten"by one of the rarest diseases known to medical science-and totally incurable.
I have personally made it my agenda over these many months to learn as much as possible about this severe disease,and pass on to Tedd and Ruth whatever information that I had encounted.
The "bottom line"has not been very rewarding.I have found that many of our great medical institutions,both in this country and abroad,had very little solace to offer concerning this affliction.As is so very common in medicine,there is usually an isolated anecdotal case or two,that have survived on a given regimen of some combination of chemotoxic agents,but none were applicable to the population at large.
I want to assure all that knew Tedd,that he has had the best of care and advice available for this very rare (and incurable)disease.Special interest was even rended by the VanAndel Institute of Medical Science,in Grand Rapids,Mi.
Also ,that he had by his side,one of the most competent,and astute nurses,that I have come across in my professional life,and that is his loving wife Ruth.It's my true belief that Tedds life may have been considerably shortened,had it not been for the detailed care that was given by Ruth.
Tedd and Ruth has had such a positive influence on my life as well as our entire family..None of us would have ever been members and lease holders at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference over these many years had it not been for Tedd,and Ruth.Our Bible studies led by both of them were outstanding.(meeting in our various homes,over many years)Bringing all of us to a closer walk with our Lord.I could list so many aspects of their lives,and how it has affected all who knew him,but it is neccesary to bring all this to a close.
Tedd,you will be dearly missed,but we are certain where your spirit is today,We look forward once again to be reunited when our time on earth is ended.While we are sincerely grieved,we celebrate with much joy,your deep friendship,leadership,and amazing service to all that knew you,for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ while you were with us here on earth.

Tedd was a great man of God. We enjoyed working with him when we directed YFC in East Central Illinois. We helped him organize the Holiday Teen Conventions at the University of Illinois Assembly Hall. He visited us in our apartment there in Champaign and spoke to our staff one evening, citing the story of Esther. Art remembers vividly his assurance to us the just as Mordecai told Esther, "Surely you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this," so we had restarted YFC in East Central Illinois for such a time as that! God has used him in amazing ways over his long and committed life. We pray fo peace and comfort for Ruth and the rest of the family in this time of grief.
