Teresa May Anderson's Obituary
Mrs. Teresa May Anderson, age 56, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Grantham, England on March 25, 1962 to John William and Peggy (Marriott) Allsop. She moved to Muskegon at the age of 15 and graduated from Muskegon High School, class of 1980. Teresa was baptized into the Church of England, and later attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Muskegon. She was employed by Meijer prior to taking a medical retirement, and had previously been employed by Valley Ridge Bank. Teresa enjoyed crocheting, drawing, camping, and trips to the casino. On May 18, 2002, she married Gary “Joe” Anderson and he survives her along with her mother, Peggy Brunais; parents-in-law, Eugene and Mary Anderson; brothers, Steven (Kathy) Allsop and David (Shelly) Allsop; sister, Yvonne (Tom) Root; sister-in-law, Kari Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John Allsop; step-father, Joseph Brunais; brother-in-law, Steven Anderson; sister-in-law, Jackie Allsop; and nephew, Stevie Allsop. According to Teresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a MEMORIAL LUNCHEON will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2018 at VFW Post #7729 (6285 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442). Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Johnson Family Cancer Center or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
