Teresa Gomery Boczkaja's Obituary
Teresa M. “Gomery” Boczkaja, age 94, passed away peacefully with family at her side, Monday morning, June 25, 2012. She was born in Muskegon on February 27, 1918 to Julius and Margaret (Beluzar) Takats and was a life-long resident of Muskegon. Teresa married Mr. Arthur Gomery on November 8, 1941. Art preceded her in death in June of 1978. Teresa then married Mr. Walter Boczkaja in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 2000. Teresa was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar Society and was a past regent for the Women of the Moose Lodge. Teresa is survived by: three sons, Gale (Barbara) Gomery of Muskegon, Richard Gomery of Norton Shores and Arthur (Linda) Gomery, Jr. of St Claire Shores; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Lawrence) Otto of Ann Arbor and Mary Ann “Cookie” Csanda of Chicago. The Memorial Mass will be held at, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 30, 2012 with Fr. Thomas J. Brown presiding. Visitation: the family will begin receiving guests at the church one hour prior to the mass. She will be laid to rest in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial: Sacred Heart Church.
