Terri L. Hoffman-Forward's Obituary
Terri L. Hoffman-Forward, age 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 31, 1953, to Gordon and Blanche (Dean) Hoffman in Muskegon, MI where she has remained a lifelong resident. Terri graduated from Reeths-Puffer High School class of 1971. She was a dedicated employee of GTE North where she worked in Human Resources before continuing her career at Muskegon Community College assisting in the testing center. Terri enjoyed being part of her community and had the ability to make friends anywhere she went. She was dedicated to helping with DeColores volunteering her time on the weekends, member of the Muskegon Northside Lions and Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed being out on the greens golfing or at the bowling alley with her league friends. Terri had a love for the outdoors, camping, boating, swimming or playing shuffleboard while she wintered in Florida. She was gifted with a green thumb and took pride in keeping her yard beautifully filled with pretty things. Terri was a strong and determined woman who battled and beat breast cancer in 2002. She will always be remembered for her kindness, loving and considerate spirit. Terri was a beloved sister, wonderful cousin, amazing aunt and dear friend to so many. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her brother, Douglas (Lisa) Hoffman; special cousin that was more like a sister, Bonnie Nolan; nieces and nephews, Teri Bergbower, Leigh (Lare) Morse-Williams, Mitchel Hoffman and Cody (Megan) Hoffman; great-nieces and nephews, Sydney, Macey, Alex, Maddison, Jason, Noah and Joseph; loving Hoffman and Dean family; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Jo Anne “Jo” (Charles) Bergbower. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at First Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445. A visitation with the family will be held from 10-11:30 AM. Memorial contributions in Terri’s honor can be directed to DeColores Encristo, Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce, and Muskegon Northside Lions.
