Terri Lynn Michael's Obituary
Terri Lynn Michael, age 61, passed away at home on Monday, October 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling cancer. She was born on February 17, 1962, to William and Margaret (Whisler) Griswold in Muskegon, which has always been home. She graduated from Mona Shores High School, Class of 1980. Terri was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Therm-O-Disc, where she worked as an operations specialist for 32 years. On July 28, 2012, she married Scott Michael in Norton Shores. Together they cherished 11 years full of love, laughter, and endless travels. Terri was skilled in sewing, quilting, and crafting, and was a member of a few clubs. She loved spending time with her friends at the Mona Lake Boat Club and the Eagles. Terri was gifted with the ability to find the very best deals and loved thrifting! She had a knack for riding, whether it was on her bicycle or motorcycle; biking was a favorite of hers. She took pleasure spending time in her garden, tending to her beautiful flowers. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially being a Nana to her grandbabies. Terri will always be remembered for her ability to fill a room with endless joy and for the raw passion she dedicated to everything she did. Her kind heart and strong-willed spirit will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Scott Michael; two daughters, Jodi (Brandon) Kittle and Traci (Korey) Primmer; three stepchildren, Zachary (Kayla) Michael, Angela (Isaac) Sorenson, and Robert Michael; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Bill) Johnson, Sue (Roger) Gould, William (Laurie) Griswold, and Robert (Melinda) Griswold; several nieces and nephews; and loyal pup, Ranger. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Terri’s honor can be directed to Harbor Hospice.
