Terrie E. Colbert's Obituary
Terrie E. Colbert, age 64, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, after courageously battling cancer for the 3rd time. She was born on July 29, 1958, to Fred and Katherine (Thompson) Colbert in Battle Creek, MI. Terrie graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and continued her education at Baker College where she earned her associates degree. She dedicated 35+ years working at Consumers Energy, where she specialized in document control. Terrie came to Christ at an early age and was a God fearing woman, who remained a faithful servant until the end. She had many passions such as graphic design, spending time at the lake, animals and cooking for her family. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and pup, Lala. Terrie was a proud mother, doting grandmother, loving sister and dear friend to many. Her generous heart and tender-loving spirit will be missed by many. She is survived by her three children, Lisa (Eden) Itela, Eric (Jessica) Caruthers and Andrea (Matt) Beaty; 8 grandchildren: Destiny, Nala, Jasmine, Kennedi, Mia, Roman, Xola and Mayon; great-grandchild, Royalty; sister, Rose, and her angel on earth, Larry. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Evylen, Cynthia, Alfred and Fred. A Celebration of Terrie’s life will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Roosevelt Park Community Center, 3106 Roosevelt Rd., Muskegon, MI.
