Dr. Dick Brown
I am an only child. The reason I mention this is when I met Terry and as our relationship grew I knew I had a brother and he was Terry.Terry and I first met in 1979 when I started work with Student Services in the Wyoming School District. We hit it off right a way. Terry was a Speech Pathologist and I was a social Worker. He and I loved a good laugh. We shared many good laughs together through the years. He was a aware Marilyn and I were interested in finding a house by the water. So one day he said to me why don't you and Marilyn come over to our house and visit, We accepted. He pointed out a house across the Bayou that was for sale. We looked at it and decided it was too much work for us. It wasn't too long after that he pointed our a house that had just come up for sale. We bought it.From this point on our two familys deepened our relationships. He and Linda helped with our transition by joining a New Comer group. We celebrated birthdays attended football, basketball and swim meets together. Terry and I had a tradition of looking for the most obnoxious birthday cards for each other. He would say to me" I was out shopping the other day and boy I found a dandy card for you" . He was so excited to give me this card he could hardly wait for my reaction. This always was fun. Linda, Marilyn, Terry and I would celebrate the guys birthdays as May was our birthday month. Terry was a very kind and thoughtful person who loved children, his family and life. I shall ever remember him.
