Terry Lee Luce's Obituary
Mr. Terry Lee Luce, born December 23, 1948 to Reva Luce in Muskegon, Michigan passed away on December 14, 2023 and will be missed by family and friends. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Cathy Weatherly, on September 22, 1967. He is survived by two sons, Timothy (Kimberly) Luce and Anthony (Cheryl) Luce; four grandchildren, Emily, Evan, Eli, and Josie; five siblings, Autry (Linda) Goodman, Patsy Woodrum, David (Julie) Luce, and Daniel (Tammi) Goodman; siblings-in-law, Opal (Ed) Schultz, Michael (Jean) Weatherly, and Lucille Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy; mother and step-father, Reva and Jess Goodman; two sisters, Elizabeth Clark and Dawn Goodman. Terry worked for many local industries in the skilled trades as a journeyman machine repairman and journeyman millwright. Terry was active in union negotiations in his early years. At his last employment, he was maintenance manager. Terry liked being able to fix things, but really enjoyed teaching the next generation the art of skilled trades. Terry loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman and spent many days at their camp, “My T Fine Camp” 20 acres in the bear swamp, Irons, Michigan. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and spent many hours chasing salmon, walleye, and perch aboard his boat, “Couple Luce Screws”. He really loved the many trips to Lake Erie and the fly in trips to Canada with his good friend, Ed Nearanz. Terry was a member of the Muskegon Conservation Club, Fruitport Conservation Club, NRA, Gun Owners of America, Michigan Wood Carvers, and the Shoreline Woodcarvers of Muskegon. He was also a member of Connection Point Church. Terry was an active volunteer at “The Lakes Community Garden”. He liked reading, cooking, and being with family and friends. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place with a MEMORIAL SERVICE being held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Connection Point Church with Pastor Aaron Gregory officiating. VISITATION will be from 9:30 – 11:00 AM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Pine Rest Foundation or The Lakes Community Garden.
