Terry Lee Scott's Obituary
Terry Lee Scott, age 56, of Nunica passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007, at his home. He was born September 8, 1951, in Grand Haven to Richard and Germaine (Floren) Scott, and he married the former Becky Kaminski on June 29, 2002.
Terry was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and was a graduate of Spring Lake High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and was most recently employed by Shape Corporation in Grand Haven. Terry was an enthusiastic NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, and he loved watching the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed woodworking and working on cars.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Becky; three daughters: Helen Shear, Pam Martin, and Frances (Dave) Dixon; two sons, Bill (Jennifer) DeMarse and Ron (Heather) Halladay; eight grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Frances Kaminski; two sisters, Juanita Scott and Brenda (Jon) Roach; and four brothers: Joseph (Norma) Scott, Larry (Debbie) Scott, Tom (Brenda) Scott, and Gordon (Cheryl) Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kay (Jordan) Scott on October 20, 1996; and a grandson, Tyler Fields in January of 2005.
The service for Terry will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 15, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will be in Fairplains Cemetery in Sparta Township. Military honors will be provided under the auspices of the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28 Honor Guard. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan, Inc. are appreciated.
