Mrs. Teruko H. Leech's Obituary
Mrs. Teruko H. Leech, age 85, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, in Muskegon. She was born October 29, 1933 to Eikechi and Koe (Nakamura) Haga in Tokyo, Japan, and came to this area in March of 1955. She had worked at Naturally Yours candy store in the mall for many years and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her group of Japanese girlfriends. On November 20, 1968 she married Noyes “Norm” Leech, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1984. Survivors include son, Rodney (Jean) Knoll; 4 grandchildren, Terri (Dave) Tchorzynski, Lindsey Knoll, Bonnie Dowdy, Brad (Alayna) Dowdy; 8 great-grandchildren; and her remaining family in Japan. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rochelle Hathaway on August 2, 2016. A service to remember and celebrate Mrs. Leech’s life will be held Friday, May 17, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will take place at Mona View Cemetery.
