Mrs. Thara "Teddy" Johnson's Obituary
Mrs. Thara A. “Teddy” Johnson, 82, passed away Friday afternoon, July 8, 2016, in Muskegon. She was born April 28, 1934 to Cecil and Eva (Critchett) Eagles in Shelby, and lived most of her life in the Fruitport and Muskegon areas. She was employed as an LPN at North Ottawa Community Hospital for over 20 years before retiring, was a long time member of Fruitport Congregational UCC, and belonged to numerous area community organizations and clubs. On December 20, 1952 she married Theodore Johnson, and he preceded her in death in November of 2005. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Paula “PJ” (Joe Bringedahl) Johnson of Bridgeton, Gail (Leigh) Merrill of Norton Shores, Keith (Roxanne) Johnson of Fruitport, Kevin Johnson of Fruitport; 8 grandchildren, Sara Grace, Carl, Paul, Alan, Aaron, Kyle, Sarah and Nicholas; numerous great grandchildren; 1 sister, Sandra (Robert) Otto of NC; 1 brother-in-law, Glenn (Barb) Johnson of CO. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father. A memorial service for Mrs. Johnson will be held Tuesday, July 12, at 11:00 AM at the Fruitport Congregational UCC.
