Theda Mae Pearl "Teddi" Carter's Obituary
Mrs. Theda Mae Pearl “Teddi” Carter, age 80, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born January 23, 1930 in Muskegon to Dorance and Vivian (Sauders) Hall and lived in the Muskegon area all of her life. On September 26, 1947, she married David Eugene Carter in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2009. In 1972 she received her Diploma from Orchard View High School. She was an active member and volunteer of Fellowship Reformed Church. Mrs. Carter also volunteered for the Red Cross, Youth for Christ, Hackley Hospital, and the Rescue Mission. She was a room mother for Orchard View Schools, loved crocheting, canning, gardening, flowers, and baking pies. She also was a 30 year member of the Bunco Club. But first and foremost was her family. SURVIVORS include 4 daughters, Terry (Larry) Bloomfield, Pamela (Eugene) Sinen, Joy (Tom) Wolters, Delene (Robert) Dyer; 8 grandchildren, William (Wendy) Walker, Damon (Melody) Walker and Wendy Walker, Rachel (Kevin) Hirons, Jessica Wolters, Mark (Courtney) Dyer, Michael Dyer, Angela (Dan) Uhlmeyer; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Danny (Mary) Hall; 3 sisters, Katherine (Jim) McDonald, Bernadine (Cleo) Hineline, Judy (Albert) Hardenburg; sister-in-law, Catherine Crosby; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Timothy Wayne Carter (1952); her parents; and a brother, Norman Hall. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Fellowship Reformed Church (4200 E. Apple Ave.) with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Theda’s family will be 6-8 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue (231) 726-5210.
