Mrs. Thelma Ruth Mackenzie 's Obituary
Mrs. Thelma Ruth Mackenzie, age 75, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Roosevelt Park Nursing Center. Thelma was born September 25, 1943 in Johnson City, NY to Paul and Martha (Mailander) Hulings. On November 7, 1964 she married Patrick Allen Mackenzie and he survives her. Thelma was a wonderful homemaker and also had worked at the Michigan Unemployment Office, GTE, and Quality Farm and Fleet. She loved photography, lighthouses, camping, and studying her Bible. Thelma also enjoyed writing and sharing those stories with family and friends. In addition to Pat, her husband of 54 years, Thelma is survived by her children, Terri Lynn Shepherd and Patrick ‘Rick’ Mackenzie Jr; grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew, Seth, Joel, Elizabeth and Noah; 2 brothers, Norman (June) Hulings and David(Robin) Hulings; 3 sisters, Esther Gilbert, Becky Briggs and Naomi (Craig) Johnson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, July 19, 2019 at Family Bible Church (1256 W. Broadway) with Rev. Jerry DePoy officiating.
