Thelma Dorothy Robbins' Obituary
Thelma Dorothy Robbins, age 89, of Spring Lake passed away September 24, 2018 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born August 1, 1929, in Detroit, to Albert Charles and Hattie Marie (Pichler) Lieder, and she married Kenneth Carlson Robbins on April 22, 1950, in Detroit. Ken preceded her in death on February 5, 2005.
Thelma was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and played in the bell choir. Her other interests were needlework, crafts, and sewing.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Diane (John) Robbins-Hansen of Spring Lake; her son, Robert “Rob” (Cyndi) Robbins of Canandaigua, NY; five grandchildren: Heather (Rauri) Downes, Jonathan (Jammie) Hansen, Ryan Robbins, Bethany (Chris) Bodenheim, and Sarah Hansen; ten great-grandchildren: Keagan, Declan, Hunter, Kathleen, Quinn, Sloane, Merrick, Willa, Boden, and William. She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert H. “Bud” Lieder.
The funeral for Thelma will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 27, 2018 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Goers officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Glen Eden Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Matthew Lutheran Church are appreciated.
