Thelma D. Shrum's Obituary
Thelma D. Shrum, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born on November 20, 1930 in Blytheville, Arkansas to George and Bertha (Oguin) Lambert, and resided in the Muskegon area for the past 70 years. Thelma worked at Meijer for 31 years, before retiring in 1993. She was a member of Unity Reformed Church. Thelma loved putting on Holiday meals for her family, and time spent with her sisters was priceless. On April 6, 1948 she married Robert Shrum, and were together for 72 years before he preceded her in death on November 3, 2020. SURVIVORS include three children, Terry (Rosemary) Shrum, Keith (Gloria) Shrum, and Mitchell (Rhea) Shrum; seven grandchildren, Clint (Kristy), Derek (Dottie), Mindy, Tara, Dustin (Heather), Breanne, and Anthony; 12 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and two sisters, Dorothy Moore, and Barbara DePouw. Thelma was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Barbara; and two brothers, George Lambert, Jr., and Bobby W. Lambert. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 1PM Monday, August 22, 2022 at Unity Reformed Church with Pastor Dave Celeskey officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Sunday, August 21, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100.
