Thelma Esther Wolf's Obituary
Mrs. Thelma Esther Wolf, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born in Muskegon on December 6, 1929 to Edwin and Nora (Burmeister) Butterfield. Thelma was employed by Potters Lighting for many years, and later for Muskegon Floral for 20 years prior to her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed quilting, playing BINGO, was a proud member of the Democratic Party, and loved animals. Thelma had a generous and caring heart, often helping those in her community with individual needs or disadvantages. On March 13, 1948, Thelma married Daniel Wolf in Muskegon and he survives her along with their children, Pamela Witherell, Daniel (Debbie) Wolfe, Nora (Don) Wilke; grandchildren, Lisa (Kenny) White, Elizabeth Harvey, Renee (Alan) Chandler, Daniel Wolfe II, Kendra Best, Annie (Robert) Wachtor, Jaclyn (Brent) Nelson; 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Lawain) Butterfield; sisters, Catherine Butterfield, Myrna Spliedt, Noreen Ackerman, Caren (Herb) Kile; sister-in-law, Alice Butterfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack and Bill Butterfield; sister, Maxine Butterfield; and great-grandchildren, Robert Wachter and Skyler Nelson. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. John DeBoer officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Thelma’s memory may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or NOAH Project.
