Thelma R. Sattory's Obituary
Mrs. Thelma R. Sattory, age 91, died at her home Wednesday morning, January
12, 2005. She was born October 28, 1913 in Hesperia to Henry & Myrtle (Stout) Schliewe and had resided in the Muskegon area most of her life. Thelma was a past president of Lincoln School PTA and had been active with both Mona Shores and Orchard View Senior Citizens Groups. On June 22, 1933 she married William F. Sattory and he preceded her in death on October 18, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret Skodack, and granddaughter Kristy Herald. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Gerald L. (Lois) Sattory and Sheila (Roy) Vander Scheer both of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren, Sherri Sue(James) Johnson, Gerald L. (Amy) Sattory II, Kurt (Jennifer) Vander Scheer and Jill (Matthew) Kanowith; 6 great-grandchildren; Joshua, Erin & Mia Johnson, Paige and Rae Sattory, and Annabelle Vander Scheer; 1 great-great-grandson KeithWoolery; 3 sisters, Doris Christenson, Geraldine Veltman and Barbara (Al) Rafferty; brother-in-law, Steve (Alberta) Skodack, all of Muskegon. Angel Caregivers: Kimberly Burian, Myrna Hodges, Carol Meyers, Julie Minzey, and Bridgette Sigler. SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor Ron Nyenhuis officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION: 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Hospice of Muskegon – Oceana will be appreciated.
