Theodore Mummert's Obituary
Theodore Mummert, age 95, of Spring Lake passed from this life to Life Eternal on Friday, August 24, 2007, at a local care facility. Ted was born June 26, 1912, in Oak Park, IL, to Herman and Emalia (Zurren) Mummert, and he married Dorothy L. Hegbom on June 20, 1934, in Chicago. She preceded him in death March 1, 1990.
Ted retired as a supervisor at Welded Products in 1976 after 27 years of employment. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed deer hunting, watching sports on TV, and building items for his family.
Ted is survived by a daughter, Dot Stehouwer of West Olive; two sons, Bob (Fran) Mummert of Brooksville, FL, and Mike (Lynn) Mummert of Rancho Cordova, CA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Laverne Eggers and Helen Seemuth, and a brother Harold.
The funeral service for Ted will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake with Rev. Michael Goers officiating.
