Theodore M. Zimmer's Obituary
Mr. Theodore M. Zimmer, age 78 passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 in Muskegon. He was born on February 9, 1937 in Muskegon to Delos and Anna (Judson) Zimmer. Ted served his country in the U.S. Army prior to the Vietnam War. In 1959 he married the former Patricia Pastoor and they were married for over 56 years. He was a police officer with the Norton Shores Police Department for 25 years before retiring in 1992. Ted was an avid reader and Detroit sports fan. He enjoyed golf, video poker and traveling, but foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS include his wife of 56 years, Patricia; children, Kim (Doug) Mosley, Lori (Craig) Allison, Sharon (Norm) Hosko, Debbie Zimmer Sabo and David (Ann) Zimmer; 7 grandchildren: 7 great grandchildren; and his brother, Gerald Zimmer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill and his grandson, D.J. Mosley. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:30pm Friday, November 6, 2015 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Mr. Nick Vanderberg officiating. VISITATION will begin one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Twin Lake Library or Harbor Hospice.
