Theresa Marie Doppel's Obituary
Theresa Marie Doppel, age 93, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 8, 1928 in Muskegon to Albert and Stella (Tokarz) Rebone and lived her entire life in the area. On November 18, 1950, she married George Joseph Doppel, Sr. in Muskegon and he survives her. Theresa was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and loved to dance the polka. Survivors include her husband, George Doppel, Sr.; 5 children, George (Mary) Doppel, Jr., Kathleen Doppel, Sue Ann Miller, Gregory Doppel, Sheryl (Jon) Jacobson; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister-in-law, Sheila Rebone. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Gloria Rebone, Barbara Johnson, Dorothy Sklenar, and 1 brother, Albert Rebone, Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 Sixth Street) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 PM. Visitation will also be held at church one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
