Theresa Mae Schulte's Obituary
Mrs. Theresa M. Schulte, age 76, of Holland passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 peacefully at home. She was born October 11, 1942 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas to Chester and Ethel (McElyea) Baumgarner. On July 22, 1989 she married John Schulte in West Olive and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1995.
Theresa was a gifted cook, she enjoyed gardening, shopping, bowling, and going to the casino, most of all her family, who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two daughters, Tonya (David) Steward-Hopson of Norfolk, Virginia, Carla (Iris) Wiegand-Mendenhall of Holland; one son, Marty (Candace) Wiegand of Grand Haven; five grandchildren: Curtis Steward, Dillon Wiegand, Damien (Nitosha) Wiegand, Phillip Jacob Wiegand, and Destiny Wiegand; and two great-grandchildren Sophia Steward and Marleigh Wiegand. She is also survived by one sister, Jean Smith; two brothers, Ken (Carrie) Baumgarner, and Mack Baumgarner; sister-in-law, Marion Baumgarner. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanna Jean Wiegand on December 31, 1960; former husbands, Phillip Wiegand and Dan Kingsley; one sister, Alice Baumgarner; three brothers: Leon, Roy and Bill Baumgarner; sister-in-law, Opal Baumgarner; brother-in-law, James “Smitty” Smith; and granddaughter-in-law, GiGi Steward.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave.). Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Theresa may be given to Hospice of Holland.
