Mrs. Theresa Zahrt's Obituary
Mrs. Theresa Zahrt, age 67, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Muskegon after a courageous 14 year battle with cancer. She was born in Muskegon on December 21, 1947 to Jerome and Helen (Grams) Crawford and was a life-long resident of the area. Theresa had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at Mercy Health Partners before her retirement. She was a member of Claybanks United Methodist Church of Montague. Theresa’s proudest accomplishment in life was her children and grandchildren and she cherished the time spent with her family. On June 22, 1968, Theresa married her best friend and soul mate, Stanley Zahrt, and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2006. Theresa’s family is comforted knowing Theresa and Stanley are now together again. She is survived by her three children, Susan Zahrt, Michelle (Jeff) Ward and Michael (Kim) Zahrt; five grandchildren, Marina Langlois, Olivia and Braxton Ward, and Michael and Marcus Kletzka; one brother, Pat Crawford; three sisters, Martha (Dick) Pardini, Kathleen Hunt and Elizabeth (Randy) Lemoine; many nieces, nephews and loving in-laws. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tony Pelak presiding. VISITATION will be from 1-4 PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
