Therese Marie "Aunt Terry" Lambert's Obituary
Ms. Therese Marie Lambert passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012. She was 86 years old. Therese was affectionately known by her 3 generations of nieces and nephews as “Aunt Terry”. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy Reserves having served in the Korean War. Therese worked as the office manager for Area Agency on Aging in Grand Rapids before retiring in 1988. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the DAV Chapter 34 in Kankakee, IL, American Legion in Bradley, IL, the VFW #8846 in Muskegon and the White Lake Eagle’s Auxiliary. SURVIVORS include 3 generations of nieces and nephews, including Arthur (Karen) Lambert of Traverse City, Deborah (Wes) Scholten of Alto, MI, Phillip (Dayna) Lambert of Montana, Mark (Rosemary) Lambert of Muskegon, Vicki (Bruce) Wagner of West Palm Beach, FL, Patti (Luz Gonzalez) Lambert of Whitehall and Anne (Joel) Mikaelsen of Montague; and a sister-in-law, Irene Lambert of Montague. Therese was preceded in death by her companion of 28 years, Sandra L. Hornik; 2 brothers, J. Roch Lambert, Louis G. Lambert; and sister-in-law, Thelma “Doddie” Lambert. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak as celebrant. Interment will follow at Laketon Township Cemetery with full military honors offered by VFW #8846. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday beginning with a Scripture Service at 5:00 PM at THE SYTSEMA CHAPEL, 737 APPLE AVENUE, MUSKEGON, (231) 726-5210. Visitation will also be available one hour prior to the Mass, 9-10 AM Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Prince of Peace Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
