Thomas P. Bosma's Obituary
Thomas Patrick Bosma, age 75, passed away in Grand Rapids, MI, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Tom was born in Muskegon, MI, on May 25, 1949, to Jack and Elma (Sills) Bosma. He graduated from Orchard View High School and went on to graduate from Grand Valley State University. On August 3, 1979, he married the former Linda Secrest, and they spent 45 wonderful years building their family together. Tom was an outdoorsman who loved to spend time outside, especially hunting and fishing. He was a part of the Pere Marquette Hunting Association, a group of close friends and family that went hunting together for many years. He enjoyed working on puzzles, watching sports and westerns, and could fix just about anything. Since 2012 he loved spending winters in Pine Island and Key Largo, FL with Linda and friends. He was a very expressive storyteller, always turning a short story into a long one. He was patient, wise, and somehow always seemed to have the right answer to questions. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughters and his grandchildren.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Bosma; two daughters: Stacy (Brandon) Stephenson and Stephanie (Phil) Jones; four grandchildren: Bradley and Alexandria Stephenson and Jaylinn and Annalise Jones; three siblings: Tim (Nancy) Bosma, Sue (Edmond) Booker, and Robin (Robert) Busch; two siblings in-law: Pete (Megan) Secrest and Cindy (Dennis) VanEtten; and a beloved goldendoodle, Stella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elma Bosma, and his brother in-law, Gordon Secrest.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
