Thomas W. "Tom" Doenges' Obituary
Thomas W. Doenges, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He was born February 7, 1940 in Muskegon to Paul and Bertha (Winebrenner) Doenges. Tom was a United States Air Force Veteran for 4 years and served his country during the Cold War. He had owned and operated Professional Janitorial Services for 24 years and Cone-O-Copia. He also worked as a truck driver for Viking Foods for 30 years and as a young man worked at Sheldon’s. On November 24, 1989, he married the former Diane C. Meyers in Muskegon. Tom was a life member of the Mona Lake Boating Club and the Eagles. He loved working with his hands, was an avid boater, and loved all his canine companions. SURVIVORS include his wife, Diane; 5 children: Rita Dye, Scott (Kris) Doenges, Susan Neading, Kevin Anderson, and Tami Meyers; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Barb) Doenges; sister, Betty (Bob) Graham; several niece and nephews; and many friends. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Harbor of Grace Lutheran Church – Southern Campus (1132 Southern Ave, the former Our Savior’s Lutheran Church) with Rev. Jane Mountain officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
