Dear Family --
Your dear Dad and Grandfather, Tom, was such an inspiration to all of us here in Sierra Vista. He worshiped with us here at St. Andrew the Apostle and was much loved by us all!
I was able to set up several "seminars" with Tom and young people looking to a possible career in the military, and have him tell of his extraordinary service as a Navy pilot!
We loved to recognize Tom as one of our "WW II Heroes"!
I have only the most wonderful memories of the times Tom and I spent together -- he was one of the greatest of the "Greatest Generation!
I will remember Tom at the altar - with thanksgiving for his remarkable life - and pray for his beloved family!

Peggy, Jody, and Tim... My mom just called to let me know about your dad. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have so many fond memories of both of your parents, goodness we lived at each other's houses growing up. I remember when I would come over and he would be at the kitchen table and he would pull me on his lap and refer to me as his "blonde" daughter. And, just like a father, would yell at me when I slammed his car doors too hard. (Something I never understood as a child but as an adult I now totally get how annoying that must have been when I slammed the door of his 4-door vehicle as hard as I slammed the door of our 2-door vehicle). I remember him taking us to Easy Dock so we could make Barbie furniture from the wood scraps.
I could go on and on with memories.... The last time I saw your dad he was sitting on his deck at the cottage at Ford lake. We had put our boat in and when I saw him, we docked and I ran up to say hello and see if you were around. He remembered me and let me know that Peg and Jody would be around later. I will be out of town for work for the rest of the week and am unable to come to the visitation or funeral. I feel so bad that I cannot pay my respects in person. Virtual hugs and deepest sympathy to the three of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are so sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather. You all have been blessed with having him be present for so many memories you all have shared with him. We will forever keep the conversations, laughs and just looking at the birds with him in our memories. He is now home with his beautiful wife and those that have gone before him. When you define a role model, American hero, dedicated family man who so loved his family, hard worker and a servant of God there your father was that and more and forever will be etched in our hearts. I was proud to call him a friend and will forever cherish the time we had together. may God walk with you all during this difficult time and may memories help make those days easier. We love you all.
